“I have always been deeply inspired by history and ancient civilisations — their symbolism, mythology, and understanding of beauty, power, and the human spirit.
 
After creating Amun-Ra, I felt compelled to create a companion fragrance that explored a different kind of love and strength — the relationship between a father and daughter. Baast was inspired by the Egyptian feline goddess Bastet, daughter of Amun-Ra, whose presence embodies both protection and sensuality.
 
What fascinates me most about Bastet is her duality. She is fierce yet nurturing, courageous yet graceful, commanding yet deeply feminine. I wanted Baast to capture this balance through scent.
 
The composition opens brightly with bergamot and saffron before evolving into darker fruits, florals, incense, and woods. The contrast between luminous softness and resinous depth reflects Bastet’s many dimensions — warrior-like strength alongside warmth, seduction, and playfulness.
 
Baast is a fragrance for moments when you want to feel powerful and fearless, while still embracing softness, mystery, and allure.
